Job Training
Our job training program is at the core of what we do
At the core of what we do is our job training program. By providing our barista trainees competitive wage jobs, we offer newly-arrived immigrants and refugees a chance to pause, breathe, and dream about their lives in America. During the 12-18 months when barista trainees are in the program, they attend unique workforce readiness classes and interact with mentors who provide assistance with English language education, college, trade school preparation, or future career planning.
As a part of our job training program, Barista Trainees will:
- Learn about coffee in our barista skills program
- Gain experience in customer service and hospitality
- Obtain Food Safety Training
- Attend paid job training and development classes
- Receive assistance with language learning and educational goals
- Have the support of a personal mentor
Length of Training: 12 months
